Keir Starmer has expressed full support for the decision to remove Prince Andrew’s titles, according to a statement from No10. The UK government stands in solidarity with Virginia Giuffre’s family and all victims of Jeffrey Epstein’s reprehensible actions. Buckingham Palace recently announced that Prince Andrew has agreed to vacate Royal Lodge due to ongoing controversies surrounding his association with the convicted sex offender. He will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

A spokesperson from No10 reiterated their backing of the Palace’s decision, emphasizing their empathy towards the victims of Epstein’s crimes. Trade Minister Sir Chris highlighted the long-standing public sentiment calling for Andrew’s titles to be revoked, citing concerns over his conduct and potential involvement with Epstein. Sir Chris urged Andrew to address any inquiries related to the matter, emphasizing the importance of accountability.

Despite Prince Andrew’s denial of the allegations, Buckingham Palace acknowledges significant errors in judgment. As a result, Prince Andrew will relinquish his lease on Royal Lodge and transition to alternative accommodation. The Palace maintains that these measures are necessary, regardless of Andrew’s continued denial of the accusations against him.
