Since the latest season of The Traitors began on January 1, viewers have been eagerly speculating about the Secret Traitor’s identity on social media. The anticipation grew when the Secret Traitor’s reveal was teased for the upcoming episode on January 8.

The previous episode, aired on January 3, saw the mysterious Secret Traitor in a red cloak appearing at the turret to confront participants Rachel Duffy and Stephen Libby. The question on everyone’s mind is: who could it be?

In my view, the Secret Traitor can only be Fiona, and here’s why.

Speculations abound regarding the Secret Traitor’s identity and motives. For instance, Ellie was caught mentioning the term ‘Secret Traitor’ during a conversation.

On the other hand, some believe Harriet might be the Secret Traitor following her intense confrontation with fellow barrister Hugo.

So, why am I so convinced it’s Fiona?

Well, one striking observation is Fiona’s adeptness at subtly inciting conflicts while deflecting blame onto others, a skill not apparent in other participants.

This strategy was evident in the situation involving Ross and Ben. It was deduced that a Traitor must have been present to know about Ben’s remarks, yet the Traitors overlooked the possibility of the Secret Traitor’s presence, leading to Ben’s suspicion.

After Ben’s comments were brought up by Fiona following her demise, she conveniently claimed to have forgotten the details and tasked Jessie with divulging the information, thus shifting the focus away from herself.

Furthermore, Fiona raised doubts about Hugo and Rachel, both suspected Traitors, alleging a change in their behavior from the train to the Castle. This indicated her awareness of their true identities and was used as a pretext to implicate them.

However, Fiona cleverly shifted the blame onto Amanda by suggesting she prompted the scrutiny of the participants’ behavior changes, creating a facade of innocence while manipulating others.

During the roundtable discussion, Amanda disclosed that Fiona sought her counsel, implying Fiona’s attempt to divert attention and responsibility for the accusations.

This tactic proved effective as Hugo targeted Amanda instead of Fiona, later hinting at Amanda’s questionable conduct. This diversionary strategy is akin to past successful Traitors who skillfully avoided direct involvement.

In a candid moment, Fiona, a 62-year-old from Swansea working in local government, admitted to portraying a deceptive image of innocence, adding weight to the suspicion surrounding her.

Based on the evidence, I firmly believe Fiona is the Secret Traitor, but the final revelation awaits us on Wednesday.
