“70,000 Pints of Guinness Stolen in UK Heist”

Date:

Thieves in the United Kingdom have set a new standard. Authorities in the UK are currently working to recover 70,000 pints of stolen Guinness. The pilfered Guinness, known for its creamy and dark characteristics, with a value of 115,000 pounds ($216,000 Cdn), was taken from a depot near Liverpool in northwest England, as reported by the Cheshire Constabulary on Thursday.

Detective Sergeant Gary McClatchy stated, “It is commonly believed that ‘Guinness is good for you,’ but this holds true only when it has been rightfully acquired. We are determined to ensure the complete retrieval of all the stolen goods.”

This incident occurred shortly after a beer theft in the United States garnered attention due to the brewery’s witty social media posts following the loss of around 34,000 cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon.

The stolen Guinness was intended for pubs but was seized on Monday night by two drivers at an industrial park in Runcorn. The thieves absconded with two trailer truckloads containing approximately 800 barrels of stout, with an estimated value of 50,000 pounds ($93,000).

In a separate incident in Southern California, the theft of Pabst beer from a warehouse was estimated at $70,000 US ($97,000 Cdn). The brewery offered a $20,000 US reward for any information leading to the recovery of the stolen beer.

Responding on social media, the company addressed the thief, stating, “We understand your desire to boast to your friends about your PBR stash, but we hope you acquired it through honorable means. This message is genuine, and we are absolutely serious.”
