Amazon has unveiled an updated price for its latest Fire TV Stick HD, presenting an opportune moment to explore this new offering. The revamped device boasts several enhancements, including a sleeker design, support for Wi-Fi 6 for smoother streaming, and improved performance speeds.

The new Fire TV Stick HD, as per Amazon, is over 30% faster than its predecessors, delivering faster boot-up times and enhanced app functionality. Notably, it can be powered directly through a TV’s USB port, eliminating the need for a separate power adapter and ensuring tidy cable management behind the screen.

Additionally, the device introduces Amazon’s latest Fire OS software, named Vega, which promises a more organized layout, intelligent content suggestions, and a streamlined browsing experience.

Amazon expressed, “The new Fire TV Stick HD is our slimmest streaming device to date, compact in volume and width compared to earlier models, and designed for direct power via the TV’s USB port, allowing it to fit neatly behind a TV without requiring an extra power adapter.”

Initially priced at £39.99, the new Fire TV Stick HD is now accessible on Amazon for £25.99, representing a 35% discount opportunity.

While the discount on Amazon is enticing, savvy shoppers seeking the best deal can find the 2024 Fire TV Stick HD at a slightly lower price elsewhere. Both Argos and Currys have reduced the price of the device to £24.99, undercutting Amazon by £1 and offering a £15 reduction from the original launch price.

The older HD model still offers access to popular streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+, along with Full HD playback, Alexa voice controls, quick app launch shortcut buttons, and smart home controls for compatible devices such as lights.

For those interested, Argos and Currys are currently offering the Fire TV Stick HD at £24.99 each.
