Apple has rolled out a crucial update for new iPhone users to address a wireless charging issue affecting some devices. The problem hinders wireless charging, forcing users to rely on MagSafe for battery top-ups.
While Apple states that only a small number of users are impacted, it is advisable to ensure your device is updated. The iPhone 17 series, including the Pro and Pro Max models, as well as the iPhone Air, require this update to resolve the charging glitch.
To update your device, navigate to Settings, tap on General, and select Software Update. Look for iOS 26.5.1 and choose to update immediately or schedule it for overnight installation. Ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection or unlimited mobile data as the update is a hefty 13.6GB file.
