Amazon Prime Video is set to bring the popular Tomb Raider franchise to the small screen, sparking excitement among gamers and movie enthusiasts. The TV series has been shrouded in secrecy until recently, when details about its star-studded cast were revealed.
Leading the lineup is Sophie Turner, known for her role in Game of Thrones, who will portray the iconic character Lara Croft. Speculations about Martin Bobb-Semple joining the cast as Zip have also been confirmed, solidifying the team of talented actors.
Joining the project are renowned Hollywood names such as Jason Isaacs from Harry Potter and Sigourney Weaver from Alien. Isaacs will take on the character of Atlas DeMornay, while Weaver will embody Evelyn Wallis, a mysterious and ambitious figure looking to leverage Lara’s skills.
The ensemble cast includes Bill Paterson as Winston, Lara’s loyal butler, along with Jack Bannon as Gerry, Lara’s pilot, and John Heffernan as government official David. Celia Imrie will play Francine, the Head of Advancement at the British Museum.
Additionally, the series will feature Paterson Joseph as senior government official Thomas Warner, Sasha Luss as Sasha, Juliette Motamed as museum curator Georgia, and August Wittgenstein as the illegal raider Lukas.
Despite maintaining secrecy around the plot and release date, Amazon promises that the show will draw inspiration from the adventurous storytelling of the Tomb Raider video games, offering fans an exciting new adaptation to look forward to.
