Fortnite enthusiasts are in for a treat with an upcoming complimentary mini-Battle Pass featuring a plethora of South Park-themed items, as Epic Games gears up to unveil update 39.20.
In addition to this South Park collaboration, players will have the opportunity to acquire various skins from the in-game shop while utilizing potent items inspired by the beloved television series.
However, the excitement is dampened by the news of extended server downtime accompanying the update. Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite will go offline for update 39.20 at 9am GMT on January 9.
For players in the US, this translates to 1am PDT / 4am EDT, and for European fans, it will be 10am CET. To catch one last game before the downtime, players must log in before 8:30am GMT, as matchmaking will be disabled 30 minutes prior.
The downtime duration is estimated to be approximately two hours, with servers expected to be operational again by 11am GMT. This equates to 3am PDT / 6am EDT / 12pm CET.
Epic Games shared the announcement on X, advising players to prepare for the downtime and lock in their gameplay. They specified that matchmaking will be disabled 30 minutes before the scheduled maintenance.
