During an episode of their podcast, Lost In Translation, Gemma and Gorka confirmed their commitment to tying the knot. Gemma expressed their initial desire to marry sooner, but Mia and Tiago’s arrivals prompted a delay to ensure a more manageable celebration without a toddler demanding attention.
Considering various options, including a simple signing of legal papers, the couple emphasized their preference for a low-key affair. Gemma highlighted her aversion to elaborate weddings and proposed a small post-ceremony gathering, inspired by her sister’s approach.
Recently, Gemma disclosed the emotional reason behind the postponed wedding. In a heartfelt message on Father’s Day, she acknowledged the absence of her late father, David, and expressed reluctance to walk down the aisle without him present.
Reflecting on her future with Gorka, Gemma imagined her father’s approval of her choice and their children, noting his love for dancing and the joy he would have found in their family.
