According to the research findings, 82% of respondents believe there is nothing wrong with being particular about home aesthetics, with 60% preferring their unique home routines over conformity to societal norms. Partners were identified as the primary transgressors of household rules, leading to feelings of frustration and annoyance among homeowners, although 25% opt to remain silent when rules are broken.
The study also revealed that individuals go to great lengths, spending an average of 44 minutes, to prepare their homes when expecting guests. For many, this meticulous behavior is essential for feeling comfortable and at ease in their own homes, with 40% stating that proper home maintenance contributes to their well-being.
