Freeview users are advised to promptly review their settings and retune their devices following the recent update rollout. The UK’s popular TV platform has introduced changes to the channel lineup and TV guide, requiring viewers to retune to ensure access to the latest content.
The update includes four key changes. Three existing channels have been rebranded with new names, offering a refreshed viewing experience. That’s TV 3 is now known as That’s 20th Century and will feature music from past decades and classic shows like Yes, Minister and The Saint. Additionally, That’s TV 3 MCR has been renamed That’s 20th Century MCR, while That’s Classics MCR is now simply That’s Classics.
Furthermore, a new channel, That’s Entertainment, will debut on Channel 75. Although program listings are not widely available yet, more information about the channel is expected soon.
According to Freeview, these updates are part of the ongoing adjustments made by broadcasters to keep content diverse and current. Users are encouraged to retune their devices to receive these updates on their TV planner. To do so, users can follow these steps:
1. Press the menu button on the remote.
2. Navigate to settings, installation, or a similar option.
3. Enter the PIN if prompted (commonly 1234 or 0000).
4. Select “first-time installation,” “factory reset,” or “full retune.”
5. Confirm the deletion of existing channels.
6. Allow the device to automatically search for and store the updated channels.
While Freeview updates occur regularly, this recent update is significant, underscoring the importance of retuning sooner rather than later for an optimal viewing experience.
