Jessica Ennis-Hill, the Olympic champion, will be participating alongside Kevin Sinfield in Sheffield for his latest initiative to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease (MND). The event, known as the ‘7 in 7 Together’ challenge, will see Sinfield running an ultra marathon daily for a week, with Ennis-Hill lending her support by running with him on Thursday.

Sinfield, a former England and Leeds Rhinos star, began this annual challenge in support of MND charities, inspired by his friend Rob Burrow’s battle with the disease. Over the years, Sinfield has raised more than £10 million, contributing to the establishment of a groundbreaking center in Leeds for MND patients.

Ennis-Hill, a renowned heptathlon Olympic gold medalist and three-time world champion, has transitioned from her athletic career to become a prominent figure in the media industry. She is actively involved with various charities, including the Sheffield Children’s Hospital and Barrie Wells’ sports foundation.

Sinfield’s relentless pursuit of finding a cure for MND continues, especially after the recent diagnosis of England World Cup winner Lewis Moody with the same disease. Moody is also gearing up to host fundraising events, such as a charity dinner and a bike ride in 2026.

Following the Sheffield leg of the challenge, Sinfield will proceed to Cumbria, Scotland, and ultimately conclude the event in Leeds on Sunday. To learn more about the ‘7 in 7 Together’ challenge, visit the link provided.
