Some Sky subscribers are facing a frustrating issue with the popular ITVX app. Reports of disruptions started surfacing late last week, with users expressing dissatisfaction over the app skipping to the end of programs unexpectedly. Viewers have complained about being abruptly taken to the credits of a show, even without using the fast-forward feature on their remotes.

On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky shared, “ITV Player randomly skips ahead, usually right to the end of the episode and is making it quite difficult tbh, this has been happening for the last 4 or 5 days.” Another user, Dawn, also reported experiencing similar problems, mentioning, “Is anyone else having issues watching programs on ITVX for the last 3 days? I’m watching, then jumped to the end randomly, usually at the beginning of the program or after an ad break.”

The issue seems to impact users with Sky’s online devices, including Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it remains unclear if Sky Q is also affected, the majority of complaints are from individuals using broadband-connected devices rather than satellite dishes.

Although the cause of the problems is not yet identified, a Sky representative named Kev has addressed the concerns online, acknowledging the issues and assuring users that the company is collaborating with ITV to resolve the matter. Kev mentioned, “We can understand how frustrating this must be and have escalated the problem to our support teams. They will work with ITV to fix the issue. As soon as I have more information, I’ll update everyone.”

For now, users may need to tolerate the skipping problems, but a solution is expected to be in progress. Mirror Online will provide updates on this matter as soon as new information becomes available.
