Luke Littler is gearing up for his first defense of the PDC World Darts Championship where he will face off against Darius Labanauskas at Alexandra Palace next month. The draw for the tournament was conducted on Monday afternoon.

Having clinched the 2025 world championship title by defeating Michael van Gerwen at Ally Pally in January, the 18-year-old has since accumulated various accolades including the UK Open, World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, Grand Slam of Darts, and Players Championship titles. The young sensation, known as ‘The Nuke,’ has learned that his initial opponent in the 128-player tournament will be the top-ranked Lithuanian player Labanauskas, hailing from Warrington.

Among the other matchups in the first round, Luke Humphries will face Ted Evetts, Michael van Gerwen will take on Mitsohiko Tatsunami, and Beau Greaves is set to compete against Daryl Gurney.
