Film enthusiasts and celebrities are converging in Toronto, Canada’s largest city, for the Toronto International Film Festival. The 51st installment of TIFF, commencing on Thursday for an 11-day run, showcases close to 300 films and renowned actors such as Javier Bardem, Cynthia Erivo, and Seth Rogen. On the second day, September 11, fans of K-pop sensation Lisa had the opportunity to see her at the premiere of her documentary “Always Lalisa” at Roy Thomson Hall. The cast and crew of “The Stunt Driver” also graced the red carpet at the film’s premiere, with Jay Baruchel and Ed Helms among the stars. Director Michael Dowse, expressing his confidence in Baruchel’s portrayal of Canadian daredevil Ken Carter, cited his impressive performance in the film “Blackberry.”
Rebel Wilson, alongside Jennifer Coolidge and Randall Park, promoted “Girl Group,” a film she wrote, directed, and starred in, at Roy Thomson Hall. Actor James McAvoy interacted with fans before the premiere of his supernatural drama “Faith” at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, where Smylie Bradwell, who plays the son of a single mother in the film, also attended.
Furthermore, director Adrian Buitenhuis arrived at Roy Thomson Hall to promote the film “Man in Motion: The Rick Hansen Story” on the same day. Rick Hansen, the subject of the film, made an appearance on the red carpet.
