Terrifying video footage captured the moment a runaway tipper lorry collided with a rubbish truck and several cars after running through traffic lights in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. The incident occurred on the morning of October 21, with the lorry losing control while descending a hill, as per authorities.
Dashcam footage revealed the green light signaling the garbage truck and cars to move forward just before the speeding tipper lorry crashed into them, causing significant damage to the vehicles and scattering debris on the road. The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department responded promptly to the accident, which involved a tipper lorry, a garbage truck, and two Perodua Myvi cars.
Upon arrival, emergency responders found three injured foreign men and a 34-year-old woman, all of whom were safely extracted from their vehicles before receiving medical attention. Subsequent investigations confirmed a total of six injuries, including the local driver of the tipper lorry, who was taken into police custody for questioning.
In a separate incident earlier this year in the UK, a lorry narrowly avoided a head-on collision as it crossed the central reservation on a motorway, prompting swift evasive action from a driver in a Porsche 911. The driver, Peter Stone, managed to maneuver his vehicle out of harm’s way just in time, preventing a potentially fatal crash on the busy highway. Stone, recounting the near-miss, described the adrenaline-fueled moment and the quick decision-making that averted a disaster.
